As far as I know the kit was launched in Germany 1966. It's a perfect kit, good hardware + warm and loud(!!) sound. My co-drummer (I'm playing in a band with two drummers) plays a late Sonor 50ties kit in gold sparkle.
Here are some new photos - one is showing my old Sonor set and the fifties set of my co-drummer, in very fair quality ... I will do some better photographs.
The other shows my "new" vintage Sonor set,in green/blue satin flame. The snare is a Force 3000 snare with die cast rims. Hope you like them.
